Services : Saint Marketing Group

New logo design? Absolutely. We do that. A brand new logo or just freshening up your existing one (getting rid of that Reflex Blue background that was a pain in the butt to print or, maybe the font that screams '90s when you really don't want it to…) A new corporate identity is a great investment and affects everything and everyone in the company.  We'll give you a logo you can't wait to show people.

But, you also need a Powerpoint presentation next week that you didn't know you would be making until yesterday.  And there is the tradeshow tri-fold that never was delegated. The banner for your new booth? Or, the direct mail piece for your customer list?  Large to small — we've been there, done that and know what kind of help would have made our lives a whole lot easier (and our CEOs and sales guys a whole lot happier.)

Saint Marketing Group — from large to small and the stuff in-between.

Logo Brand Development and Logo Refresh

First step in logo consideration:  to design a new one or to refresh the old...

You want a new logo for:

  • A business just starting out.  Okay, this one is obvious.
  • When you want to change your focus and go after a new market and your exising logo doesn't communicate your new business goals
  • When you need to distance yourself from negative association with your existing brand.

And now for the refresh:

You like your logo but it's looking a little tired, a little dated around the edges.  With some subtle tweaks and adjustments, you can give your logo a nice little facelift.  Not the, my-skin-is-so-tight-I-can't-smile kind of facelift.  More a I-went-away-on-"vacation"-and-came-back-looking 15 years younger, happier and fresher.

A design refresh can include:

  • Refinement of the graphic elements
  • Choosing a more modern typeface
  • Exploring different color palettes

A logo refresh has the benefit of reassuring existing customers that your core values, customer service, and expert team remain the same while implementing a brand update that can help you expand your existing market or branch out into new opportunities.

An added cost benefit of a logo refresh is that it allows you to naturally integrate your new brand image into high profile promotional and sales tools such as your website, product packaging, and business cards, while using up older, less prominent marketing materials instead of having to shred them.

Brand Guide

Whether we design a new logo, or refresh your existing logo, we'll provide easy to understand brand guidelines for you, your employees, and partners/vendors to follow so your brand is displayed properly and constantly. No one will be able to use the excuse "oh, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to print this on a plaid background..." Yeah, we all know who we're talking about here.

Web Design and Web Development

Custom Design or Purchase a Template: A web site design should be tailored to fit your business and designed to target your customers (broad consumer market and/or business-to-business verticals), and it needs to quickly communicate who you are and what you do –so new visitors immediately know they’ve come to the right place without having to click around to figure out what the heck you do.

Custom Design

Using your logo and brand colors as the foundation, we can design and build a unique web site targeted to your specific market and business goals. And we can do this at a price that fits your budget.

For new businesses, we know that your marketing message may still be a work in progress, or you may want to launch a site to create buzz before you announce the details of your product or service, so we can build a dynamic site that’s designed for just a few details but can grow to accommodate more information over time.

Purchase a Template

Purchasing a web site template can be a quick and easy way to get a new site up and running, but before we recommend this option there are some factors we will help you to consider:

  • Does this template really fit my business? Just because a template looks great with the generic stock photography and the placeholder copy it ships with it doesn’t mean that template is going to look as nice when replaced with the images and copy that describe your products and services.
  • Many templates rely on large photos on the home page as the major design element. Attractive, smiling men and women in expensive business suits photographed on a white background make a template design look really appealing, but are those the images you’ll want on your site? Chances are they’re not, so before you pick a design we’ll help you explore stock photography options using mock-ups and development sites. We can also flow in your copy and site map to help you visualize how the site will work with the content you have right now.
  • Is it really less expensive to go with a template? Most customers quickly realize that they want to make major changes to the template they purchased. Sometimes these changes are easy, but often they’re not. Depending on how the template was built, some design alterations require major changes to the page code, and, in the long run, it might have been less expensive to have just built the site from scratch. Knowing what your short-term and long-term business goals are, we can help you decide if purchasing a template is the logical decision.

Content Management Systems (CMS)

If you’re new to web management, the idea of editing your own site can be intimidating. The good news is that with the introduction of Content Management Systems (CMS) it’s really easy. Gone are the days when you needed to open up your web pages in Dreamweaver or Frontpage to make content changes and then upload them to using an FTP program to push them live. With a Content Management System like WordPress, Druple, Joomla, or Concrete5, you can log into your site using your web browser and quickly and easily add new pages, edit copy, and add images without having to learn HTML.

If you have an existing web site that uses static HTML pages, we can help you port it over to a CMS, or we can help you integrate tools that will give you CMS editing functionality.

With a CMS you’ll also have easier access to your meta data, so you can easily tweak your content and keywords for better Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
